Who we are

Specialist accounting expertise, delivered as education

IHM Accountant combines specialist accounting expertise with professional education and training. We are based in the United Kingdom, and our training proposition is built for learners and organisations across the Middle East.

Our focus is deliberately narrow: accounting, taxation, payroll and bookkeeping. We do not teach leadership, marketing, IT or general business, and we turn down the enquiries that ask us to. Depth in four subjects is worth more to a finance professional than breadth across forty.

Alongside the training business we continue to act as accountants for a small number of clients. That is deliberate too: trainers who still practise teach differently from trainers who once practised.

We specialise

Accounting, taxation, payroll and bookkeeping. Nothing else, however commercially tempting. It is the whole competitive position and we will not dilute it.

We describe certificates accurately

No certificate is described as university-awarded unless a formal agreement permits it. No partner logo appears without written permission. What is on your enrolment agreement is what you get.

We quote in writing

Every fee, date, delivery method and certificate description is confirmed in writing before payment. Nothing important is agreed verbally.

We assess properly

Our assessments can be failed. A certificate that everyone receives regardless of performance is worth nothing to the learner who earned it.

Why the UK matters, and what it does not mean

Our UK base is the source of our academic standards, our syllabus design, our assessment methodology and much of our trainer expertise. UK accounting education has a long-established structure and a reputation that carries weight with employers across the Gulf, and we build to it.

What it does not mean is that the UK is our training market. It is not. Our training proposition is designed entirely for learners and organisations in the Middle East — the scheduling, the worked examples, the delivery model and the way we communicate are all built for the GCC.

Written quotations

Fee, dates and certificate wording confirmed in writing. Ask for it before paying anything, here or anywhere else.

Certificate verification

Employers can verify any IHM certificate by reference at support@ihmaccountant.com.

Our position

We do not train in everything

Plenty of training companies in this market offer several hundred courses across a dozen disciplines. That is a legitimate business, and it is not ours. We specialise in accounting, taxation, payroll and bookkeeping, and we intend to be the best available option in those four subjects for learners in the Middle East.
